Add WordPress Website to Google Search Console
1. Go to Google Search Console and start with a Google account. After signing in, you’ll see 2 different options to verify your website. First one is little bit complicated. So, i will teach you second one which is URL prefix. Simple input your website’s URL and hit the continue button.
2. On the next screen, you will be asked to verify the website ownership by adding HTML file in your website. Download the example.html file and upload to your website’s root directory using FTP or scroll down to see Other verification methods to obtain a meta tag which you can then add in your WordPress site.
